No, you won't have to wait for Jackson to learn to write...
We've just been very busy lately. I promise I'll try to post more frequently--if there's anyone out there reading this, that is!
Jackson's doing great. He's 19 weeks old today, and he's rolling over on his own (both ways!) and eating a little cereal (oatmeal's his favorite) and veggies (he loves carrots!).
Christie's Saturn SC1 sport coupe got totalled last month--in the driveway. A thunderstorm came through Smyrna on March 20th, bringing winds high enough to peel shingles off our neighbors' house while we watched. I went out to check on our house and found that two treelimbs had fallen--one in the yard, and one on Christie's car. State Farm sent a towtruck and a check, and we headed back to the dealership (we'd been planning to trade it in anyway). We wound up getting a 2003 Ford Windstar (yes, a minivan!) on April 3rd, and we really like it.
We went down to Stephenville for the Easter weekend. We made an extended weekend of it, and got to visit with the Tennessee grandparents on the way down and back up. The minivan was a great travel vehicle, with plenty of room for the non-driving spouse to stretch out and rest up for their turn at the wheel.
Jackson hunted eggs with his cousins in Great-Granny's front yard on Saturday, and festivities continued through the weekend. We took lots of pictures and we'll post a few very soon. No, we will. Really.
As a matter of fact, we've already updated Jackson's album through the week before Easter. The last picture is of the three of us about to leave for Sunday evening service, standing in the driveway with the minivan. The transformation is complete! Don't we look like a family?
Jackson went to the pediatrician for his shots last week, and he's doing great! He weighed 14 pounds 2 ounces and was 24½ inches long, which put him in the 45th percentile for both. Of course, all the nurses cooed over him, and he won a lot of hearts.
That's all for now--thanks for coming by!
